Cincinnati Corporate Olympics Also know as "Hoots With the Suits", the 12th annual Cincinnati Corporate Olympics will be held on July 11th, 2008 on Fountain Square from 12 noon to 1:30. Corporate athletes will compete for the bragging rights in their struggle to “go for the gold”. We still have room for more teams. If your company team is up to the challenge, call HCSO at 513.271.2606 to register. A letter from Grace Ward, Development Director: Most people have heard of Special Olympics. But not everyone knows that our athletes train and compete all year round just like the regular Olympics. And just like the regular Olympics it costs money. Hamilton County Special Olympics must raise its own operating money. We do not receive any money from the International or State Special Olympics for local training or competitions. Presently we have over 1,800 Special Olympians training and competing in 24 different sports and activities in the county. We do not receive United Way funding. Preparation, mentally and physically, is the key to preparing children and adults to compete in all life games. The Cincinnati Corporate Olympics “Hoots with the Suits” is a major fundraiser for Hamilton County Special Olympics. Last year we had 20 corporate teams "Going for the Gold" on Fountain Square. We raised over $30,000 for our athletes. Please put us in your budget for 2008. We hope we will see your team on the Square on July 11. Sincererly,
