Did you know...
- HCSO must raise funds annually to provide programming for over 1,800 athletes.
- Special Olympics does not charge the athletes to train or compete.
- We do not receive funding from Special Olympics Ohio or Special Olympics, Inc. (International) for our local programs.
- We do not receive funding from United Way.
- HCSO provides year-round training and competition in 25 official sports.
- Over 100 qualified coaches provide training for our athletes
- Our athletes are dependant on you to help them develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, be included in the community, build skills and make friends.
- Lastly, did you know that companies give away money? Why give $100 when you can give $200? Many companies match 100% of their employees charitable gifts, some a smaller percent, but ask if your employer gives matching gifts and you might be able to give twice as much with your next gift to support Hamilton County Special Olympics!
There is a lot going on for our children and adults with mental and developmental disabilities but, like everything else, it costs money. A gift from you can help our athletes compete for the gold and experience the joy of achievement. Hamilton County Special Olympics needs to raise $200,000 to keep the games going for this fiscal year.
Remember, we are Hamilton County Special Olympics and must raise local money for the local games and activities. A gift of any size will help keep an athlete on the playing field. A gift of $100 will provide an athlete playing and training for a full year.
Hamilton County Special Olympics does not go door to door nor do we fundraise via phone solicitations. Please call our office if you have any questions.
Please help our athletes continue to "Go for the Gold" in Hamilton County!
